I am an Associate Professor and ARC Future Fellow with the Energy Systems Group at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, UNSW Sydney (The University of New South Wales) where I lead the Real-Time Digital Simulations (RTS@UNSW) Laboratory. I am also an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow

2026 Australian Financial Review Energy Awards

The RTS@UNSW team won the Innovation – Established category at the 2026 Australian Financial Review Energy Awards.

Our laboratory brings together real-time power system simulation and hardware testing to investigate the integration of power electronics and renewable energy. The award is a shared achievement of our researchers, students and collaborators.

An accompanying Australian Financial Review feature, “UNSW lab runs dress rehearsals for grid without coal-fired power”, explores the laboratory’s work testing energy systems under simulated grid conditions.
